CATEGORY AM & SCOOTER 125 CATEGORY B
A moped is defined as a vehicle with two or three wheels, with a maximum design speed of more than 25 km/h but not exceeding 45 km/h, equipped with an internal combustion engine with spark ignition and a cylinder capacity not exceeding 50 cc, or with another internal combustion or, where applicable, electric motor, with a maximum continuous rated power not exceeding 4 kW. The vehicle’s unladen mass must not exceed 350 kg, excluding the battery weight in the case of electric vehicles.
To legally ride a 125 cc scooter with a Category B license, it is mandatory to complete a 10-hour practical training course.

The course duration is 2 weeks, during which 24 hours of theoretical training and 8 hours of practical training in the training area are completed (the theoretical training precedes the practical one). The exam consists of a theoretical test and a practical test in the training area. The theoretical test is taken on a computer and involves solving a traffic rules questionnaire with 20 questions. The allotted time for solving the questionnaire is 20 minutes. To pass the exam, at least 17 correct answers are required.
The practical test consists of performing specific maneuvers in the training area within a set time.
Requirements:
age: 16 years minus three months
medically fit – clearance obtained only from a medical facility approved by our school
psychologically fit – clearance obtained only from our school’s testing lab
must not have been definitively convicted for the offenses listed in Art. 24, para. 6 of Government Ordinance no. 195/2002, except in cases covered by Art. 116, para. 1 of the same ordinance
To legally ride a 125 cc scooter with a Category B license, you must complete a 10-hour practical training course.
The 10-hour 125cc scooter course provides the training you need to safely ride and handle the scooter with your Category B license.
If you’ve held a Category B license for at least 2 years, are at least 24 years old, and complete a 10-hour practical training course (10 hours of motorcycle practice), you can legally ride 125 cc motorcycles with automatic transmission and a maximum power of 11 kW—in practice, a scooter.
